This beautifully detailed silver brooch by Kalevala Koru is inspired by a 13th-century buckle found in Suotniemi, Käkisalmi. Designed in the spirit of Finnish medieval jewelry, it features an elegant palmette pattern—symbolizing life, growth, and paradise in both ancient and Christian traditions.
This is a popular Kalevala Koru design but this particular brooch is a rarer early version from when the company was first started.
Size 5.2cm x 5cm
Hallmarks: Kalevala Koru makers mark, Finnish crown mark, 813h for 813 grade silver, Helsinki Assay mark, K6 for year 1939
