Small Vintage Kalevala Koru Räisälä Cross Sterling Silver Round Brooch – 12th Century Nordic Middle Ages Revival Design, Finland 1998

A vintage Kalevala Koru silver brooch inspired by a 12th-century design from Räisälä, Finland.
The form is based on an original silver ornament discovered in the Tiuri area, dating to around the year 1100. This revival piece captures the sculptural geometry and intricate surface texture characteristic of early Nordic craftsmanship, reinterpreted in solid silver.

Beautifully detailed with raised spiral motifs and a central rosette, surrounded by a rope-pattern border.

Hallmarks: Kalevala Koru makers mark, Finnish crown mark, 925 for sterling silver, date letter V8 for 1998 

This has been cleaned and polished ready to wear.
