A vintage Kalevala Koru silver brooch inspired by a Viking-era bronze brooch unearthed in Ähtäri, Finland.
This design, known as the Ähtärinsolki, beautifully reinterprets the ancient form of a horseshoe brooch used during the Viking Age. The intricate dotted texture and geometric finials reflect both historical detail and the clean, balanced aesthetic typical of Finnish design.
Size 3.5cm x 4cm.
Hallmarks: Kalevala Koru makers mark, Finnish Crown mark, 925 for sterling silver, Date letter G8 for 1984.
This has been cleaned and polished ready to wear.
