Antique Finnish copper butterfly brooch by Allan Helenius of Kangas with a hand-worked Arts and Crafts character and simple raised detailing across the wings. Helenius established his art forge near Kangas station in 1912, producing artistic metalwork including lighting and architectural decoration. The forge operated only for a short period before closing during the First World War.
