This vintage Finnish brooch by Turun Hopea is a bold and graphic example of Scandinavian modernist design, dating from the early 1960s based on the hallmark which was used by Turun Hopea between 1960 to 1962. The round silver form is embossed with a stylized row of upright figures or botanical forms, their elongated lines tapering into pointed ends that anchor three bezel-set tiger’s eye cabochons. The stones offer rich, chatoyant tones that shift between golden yellow and amber brown depending on the light.
Size: 4.2cm diameter
Hallmarks: Turun Hopea makers mark, Finnish Crown Mark, 813H for 813 grade silver.
