This vintage bronze brooch features the best known Pitsi lace motif, a recurring design associated with Finnish modernist jeweller Pentti Sarpaneva. The openwork brooch has a textured surface with forms reminiscent of lace, rendered in bronze with darkened patination to highlight the structure and detail. This series was first introduced in the mid 1960s.
