This vintage necklace pendant from the 1960s–70s features a vibrant synthetic alexandrite in a rich purple hue with flashes of violet and pink. The faceted oval stone is set in a 14ct gold claw setting, designed to let light pass through and enhance the colour. The original bail has been replaced with a lower-grade gold one, which tests below 14ct, and the current piece is unmarked due to this change.
A bold pop of colour and classic mid-century sparkle, perfect for everyday wear or layering with other pieces. Pendant measures 1.6 cm x 1.4 cm, not including the bail.
