A vintage pair of bronze earrings by Kalevala Koru. The stylised bird form features raised ancient style detailing. The design is based on a 11th-century (1000s) bird motif found in Hattula, Finland. In Nordic cultures, water birds were associated with renewal and fertility, and their spring return marked the beginning of the warm season.
